The Nigeria Music Industry Is Going To Break This Year.. See Why.

It is your favorite T.I.N Magazine writer Akinola, this time around we are gonna be talking about how our music industry is going to be this year!
Well, the title of this post might be a bit misleading but it may be close to what will happen in our music industry this year.

Well, what i am trying to say here is; the music industry will be producing too much songs that the consumers will be overfed, i mean artistes in the industry right now are too much for the consumers, well, this is not going to affect the consumers but the artistes because there is gonna be too much competition and many good songs are not going to blow.. It would have been a good thing for the industry if the the industry were to be a organized one, but the music industry is not and i wonder how all this artistes are going to make money. Well, i am not being negative but if you reason with me you’ll see the music industry right now is having too many consistent artistes.

You know the normal thing before is new artistes coming into the industry between 1-2 years  they become irrelevant giving a chance for another set of new artistes to shine for another 1-2years and go irrelevant like their seniors but now everybody is trying hard to keep their relevance, only a few have maintained there relevance since entering the industry and those few are the top artistes in the music industry right now…

Lets start from the era of Wizkid,Tiwa Savage,Ice prince and Olamide these four musicians became stars in the industry all at once in year 2011 and they’ve maintained their relevance since then i mean these four are bosses in the industry right now just within 5years.

Coming to 2012,we had the likes of Davido, Iyanya, Praiz, Eva and Chuddy K and 3 out of them have maintained relevance till this present moment.
Coming to 2013 we had Sean Tizzle, Burna Boy, Kcee, Orezi and some others and the 5 of them have maintained relevance since then till now.
Coming to 2014 we had Patoranking, Yemi Alade Skales and RunTown and all of them are still maintaining relevance

Now coming to what prompted me to write this… The industry got crazy in 2014 after the MAVINS and YBNL signed some very new and young upcoming artistes introducing them into the music industry, likes of Korede,Reekado,D’ija,Lil Kesh Adekunle Gold. Falz The Bahd Guy coming into the industry with his own label and another new Label G-Worldwide signing Kiss Daniel.
These artistes wowed the music industry in 2015 which as far as i can tell all of them are fully prepared to last long in the industry.

Now coming to 2016!
It looks like many people are trying hard to invest in the music industry and trying to do what Don Jazzy and Olamide did.

=> Paul Okoye launched his record label and signed two new artistes now, Munosings and Lucy
=> Lagsaba records a new record label just signed two new artistes they got via online auditioning with over 4000 applicants.
=> Wizkid just signed two new artistes yet to be unveiled
=> Davido signed to new artiste one out them have made a wonderful debut.
=> TrippleMG signed on new artsite claimed to be really talented
=> Mavin is signing another new artiste

I am very sure many other big artistes are planning on signing more artistes.. So tell me what do you think will happen this year??  Too many hit songs should be expected… and those hit songs are gonna be very quality ones.. So i wish all these artistes luck…!
