EARLY LIFE AND BACKGROUND

Nouah was born in Edo, Nigeria to an Israeli father and a Yoruba mother who hails from Owo, Ondo State. He grew up in Surulere, Lagos and attended Atara Primary School and Community Grammar School in Lagos before heading unto the University of Lagos where he graduated with a degree in mass communication.

Ramsey Nouah started his acting career with a role in Fortunes, one of the very popular television soap operas at the time, in which he played the role of a character named “Jeff Akin Thomas”. Since then, he’s been featured in many Nigerian films. Because he is very fair complexioned,Ramsey Nouahwas chosen to star in many love-related romantic Nollywood movies. He later became very famous for featuring in love-related films – an attribution which earned him the nickname “Lover boy”. Even up to date,Ramsey Noua his one of the most sought after actors in the Nigerian movie industry, as he’s acted in both English and Yoruba movies. In fact, his most recent award, the African Movie Academy Award for the Best Actor in a Leading role came by virtue of his role in a Yoruba movie, “The figurine.”

CAREER AND LIFE

Achievements: Nouah’s acting career kicked off when he starred in the Nigerian TV soap opera Fortunes. Nouah has since then appeared in numerous films starring as the lead role. He has been called “Lover-Boy” for his numerous roles in romantic film. Due to his light skin complexion he was selected to star in several love related romantic films. In 2010 Nouah won theAfrican Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in the Best Picture award winning film The Figurine. Nouah is considered to be one of the most sought-after actors in Nigeria.
He had a fatal accident in year 2006 on his power bike in Lagos island which claims few of his teeth.

In 2012 Ramsey Nouah disclosed, in an interview in Ibadan, that he’ll be quitting active acting very soon as the believes “it’s best to quit when the ovation is loudest.” When asked about his intended next line of business, Ramsey stated that he would subsequently be more active behind the scenes as a movie director. He added that he would still play some roles at intervals, but that those roles must be very exceptional ones that can help propel Nollywood to the next level.

In 2014 He revealed he doesn’t have much of a close relationship with his father, and also gushed about his successful longtime marriage which actually is a difficult one for most Nigerian celebrities.
He was featured in the record breaking and award winning popular 2014 movie by comedian A.Y “30 DAYS IN ATLANTA”.
